Ant Group announced a major upgrade to the PC platform of its AI-native health assistant AQ (Ant Afu) on January 21, 2026, introducing DeepSearch for clinicians125.
DeepSearch provides evidence-based clinical decision support, enabling rapid access to latest clinical guidelines, AI-driven synthesis of research, traceable citations, evidence-level filtering, and alignment with authoritative guidelines1245.
The PC platform offers two core capabilities:
Health Q&A and DeepSearch, free for doctors, medical students, and grassroots healthcare workers, aiming to be China's equivalent of OpenEvidence156.
AQ integrates over 36 million Chinese and international medical publications, serves 30 million monthly active users, and handles over 10 million daily health queries as of January 202645.
AQ partners with over 1,000 leading physicians for AI Doctor Agents that answered more than 27 million questions in 2025 and connects to 5,000 hospitals and 300,000 physicians45.
