Johnson & Johnson to Separate Orthopaedics Business

Johnson & Johnson plans to spin out its Orthopaedics business into a standalone company named DePuy Synthes, which will be the largest comprehensive orthopaedics-focused company.

The separation aims to enhance Johnson & Johnson's strategic focus on higher-growth markets and improve the growth and profitability of the Orthopaedics segment.

DePuy Synthes will operate independently, allowing for better positioning in improving top-line growth and operating margins.
