Sanofi Contributes to Report Emphasizing Importance of Sustainably Paid Community Health Workers

Sanofi collaborated in the release of a 2025 actionable report focused on the need for sustainable support and payment of Community Health Workers (CHWs), highlighting their essential role in underserved communities3.

Sanofi formed a strategic partnership with the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHW) to help build digital infrastructure that would unify CHWs nationally for the first time35.

Sanofi's support enabled NACHW to conduct broad surveys, expert engagement, and policy work, which contributed key insights for the report calling for sustained investment and formal recognition of CHWs35.

In June 2024, the first national CHWConnector Digital Platform launched with Sanofi's assistance to connect and support CHWs across the U.S.5.

Sanofi and NACHW also co-advocated for the CHW Access Act, introduced in March 2024, aimed at ensuring Medicare beneficiaries have no-copay access to support from trusted community health workers5.

The joint report underlines that CHWs remain often unsupported and underpaid despite proven impact, calling for policy changes and sustainable funding to solidify their vital standing in healthcare systems35.
