Genentech Lays Off 143 Employees as Part of Ongoing Cuts by Roche in Bay Area

Genentech, owned by Roche and headquartered in South San Francisco, is laying off 143 workers as part of its third round of layoffs since April 2024124.

These layoffs impact a wide range of roles including engineers, analysts, directors, AI and machine learning specialists, social media, facilities, and clinical supply staff12.
